Bristol 188 in the sun...

Post by Jumbojet380 » Tue Nov 29, 2011 10:27 pm

The one and only Flaming Pencil was getting some fresh air at Cosford today, doing a photoshoot for Octane magazine with a number of Bristol classic cars. What a wonderful morning I had, here's just a handful of shots. Enjoy!

You lucky oh fudge!! I'd love shots of the 188 outside!
Very nice indeed to see this in the open. :thumb:

Not your fault at all, but that cargo container in the last shot spoils it for me - otherwise one of the best shots I've seen for a while (and one of the few times that a wonky horizon does it for me!)

And a question - to get the 188 out, do they not have to take the TSR.2 out as well?

They do indeed need to take the TSR2 out first. The plan was that they were both meant to me coming out this morning, being left at all day and then both going back in this afternoon. However the TSR2 must not get wet under any circumstance (don't know why - they're not too bothered about the Bristol 188) so due to the forecast for today they pulled them both out on Monday afternoon, putting the TSR2 back in and leaving the Bristol out overnight. Sadly I wouldn't make it to see the TSR2 outside which is what I really wanted. Not sure if they've move them about to get them both back in today after the photoshoot or if it'll be tomorrow. Either way sadly I've missed it and unfortunately I suspect it'll be a long time before they're outside again.

Thanks for the comments, I might post some more later or tomorrow if you're lucky ;)
