Bentwaters new Lightning

Post by urkles » Tue Apr 26, 2011 9:06 am

Having kindly been donated Lightning F53 from Bae Systems we are now in the process of dismantling her for transportation to Suffolk, here she is on Sunday 24th, being a very naughty old girl! But some of the guys came back Monday and finished the jobs we started!

As can be seen she will need a bit of a clean up when she gets to Bentwaters...

Great stuff, I assume you have the tail and engines stashed somewhere safe?

Just glad we can`t post audio files Fruity, what with all the swearing & moaning you were doing on Sunday about the belly tanks not coming off ! :P

Nice photos too, must remember to take my camera next time I`m working on ZF581 & take some snaps.

Regards,

Allan.

I wish someone would donate one to me!

Great to see another in the hands of someone who is going to treat her with the respect shes due. :thumb: Are there any plans of a paint job? Even though shes a Saudi, it would be great to see her in 11 sqn colours with BW tail coding

All the best to all involved and look forward to an update
