The Military Museum at Chromonastiri has a Huey and a U-17 on display next to the road.

The Hellenic Air Force have a small museum at the Maleme Military Airfield which illustrates the role of the airfield in the German invasion during WWII, public access is available with 24 hours notice. In addition it gives you the opportunity to photograph the preserved aircraft which are located close to the museum. My air force guide cheerfully advised not walking past the display aircraft as they were using the airfield for live small arms training.....
