What a gem of a museum & collection

Naturally, for me, the star is that F2A; the best of the breed (imho) :Wow:

Almost my local museum (The National Museum in Chambers St Is nearer) so have been quite a few times, especially when it used to have airshows. Sadly, as with many these no longer take place.
It is off the beaten track so not frequently visited, but as your pics show, quite a lot of interesting items as well as the civil side
One 'civvie' I still regard as military appears in the background of your shots

I used to see it fly often in the 60's when used by the FFU at Edinburgh

Thanks for sharing these with us, it's nearly thirty years since my only visit, so a return is long overdue. The Bolingbroke was locked away waiting to be restored when I was there, so nice to see it. Living locally to Biggin Hill, many years ago the GAL Cygnet was based there and I used to sometimes see it flying. One minor typo is that the Sea Venom is WW145, but there's some great shots and I would say it's one of the best museums in the UK and well worth visiting.

Thank you for posting these images as it brought back memories of the visit I made there in 1977. The Sea Hawk and the Me 163 were exhibited then but not any of the other aircraft that you posted.
