The Russians are coming PT879
Well not really, this only known ex Russian Spitfire dropped into Wellesbourne for a quick visit on 26.07.24.

Thanks for sharing this with us, looks good and makes a change to see a different scheme. The last time I saw it was years ago, when it had just arrived at Duxford and it was a crumpled wreck.

Glad to see that he's still about, I missed the Russian Spit the last time around. Like a one hit wonder, I never thought we'd see it again

Peter Teichman flew the plane in so it is probably still part of the hangar 11 collection at North Weald.

I remember the feature on this fighter a few years back in Flypast.
