Thanks for sharing these, very interesting. Always nice to see a Meteor, one of my favourite types. The Me262' looks good too, as it's got RAF roundels, wonder what became of it.

I beieve that it was test flown at least once with RAF registration, and then off to the dominions?

Great nostalgia with those RAF boys around the 262. Wonder what became of them.... :S

None of them wearing Pilots Wings, but top button undone on battle dress would seem to indicate that they were fighter pilots. Curious. :S

All rather talented and resourceful ground chaps on 616 Sqn, including my father...
Apparently it took a lot of 'nous' to keep the jets serviceable.

Just being the usual groundcrew 'scruffs' John  (as many of us were at least up until the 1980's)
Actually their BD's look in fairly good condition !
I used to take real pride in my scruffy appearance - although I had to smarten up a bit (but just a little) when promoted to Cpl in 1981

I've been provoked to a bit of research...

Meteor my well be EE246...
Me 262 may well be...
500210/Yellow 17 of 3./JG.7 at Lubeck in May 1945...
