...until the final compliment of F-16A's arrived.

I think the 86th TFW transitioned to the F-16C and didn't receive any A models but I could be wrong? Certainly those photographed here are both C models (84-1286 delivered to RS Feb 86 and 84-1316 in May 86 (later with the 50th at Hahn by December 86)), the 50th TFW at Hahn was the first wing to receive A's in Europe in 1981 followed by the 401st at Torrejon. Both of which swapped out their A's for C's in the mid/late 80's.

Hi Bilvo. No, you are not wrong .... It was my error as the 86 TFW received C and a few D models and not A's.
I think I was too excited about the post that cause my monumental foopah so thanks for your correction
