B-1s at Fairford 2017

Post by Thunderbolt II » Wed May 31, 2023 7:27 pm

Hi all,

Is 6 years ago nostalgic? Any excuse for B-1s. As I'm probably not going to get down to Fairford for this deployment, for various reasons, I thought I'd post some images from 2017. This seemed a particularly good year for bomber action, B-1s, B-2s and B-52s all made an appearance in this year. The flying seemed more frequent and the weather was good. Not as crowded, either. Hopefully worth a look, may have got carried away with the number of pics...

Great shots and good to see them. I went to Fairford last Monday to see them. I bet the locals appreciated their early morning call when a pair went out on Tuesday though. What was the saying, 'Jet Noise, the sound of freedom', who needs an alarm clock?
