85 was my first IAT and what a treat it was too. Just looking back at the log - 10 Dakotas including the ItAF one, 16 F-104s (10 yes ten Germans, and 2 each form Canada, Italy & Denmark) and at least 40 different types (excluding sub-types) from the RAF/RN/AAC. Almost 300 aircraft in total both static and flying on the Saturday. I recall that the day started with thick fog but lifted by lunchtime. Right - where are those slide boxes...

Fabulous memories! My first Tattoo and unfortunately I was armed with my worst camera... and on the worst day (the Sunday). To see the show aircraft clearly without fogging, grain and in sunlight is a real treat! Fantastic show and a real 'hooter fest' for the last time en mass.

For me the F-4 line-up (particularly the two Kef's) were the icing on the cake that day, but the 104 line-up was the cherry on the icing
Everyone has a photographic memory; some just don't have film.

The distinct lack of those dreadful cones is certainly a plus!
