No afraid not , the nearest air base will be Travis which is about 30 miles away , Oakland Airport is the nearest major airport so I will be paying the Museum there a visit. Provided I still get the Nellis updates I will continue to post them.

Just seen the photos to accompany this log, Steve, very nice! Wonder how much it'd cost to bring one of those Impala over here for my garden...

Will try and fill the blanks if later if you want? (Or unless Andy Marden sees this first and does it! )

Looking through photos of BAE at Mojave they seem to have an interesting looking 737-300 testbed for the F-35 programme the 'Cooperative Avionics Test Bed' : http://files.air-attack.com/MIL/jsf/f35_test_bed.jpg

Edit: are your F-4's possibly N424FS & N427FS, Also the Alpha N88XA (40*88)?

A few comments from me:

The MS.760s are not ex French Air Force, both were purely civil machines.
The "MIG-17" is a MiG-15 (note that it only has two wing fences, MiG-17s have three). There are 2 two-seaters that I know of at Mojave:
N41125 (ex Polish 266, c/n 242266)
plus ex Polish 005, c/n 1A-01005

I'm a bit confused about the previous post mentioning N424FS and N427FS. Why is it thought that these could be the aircraft? BAE Systems does the conversion work at Mojave, so there is a huge list of candidates. Also, N424FS should be preserved at Canton TX (since Dec10 at least).

Thanks for the update Andy , I have now updated the post accordingly . I wasn't sure if it was a Mig-15 or Mig-17 , I couldn't quite tell from the angle I took the picture.
