Royal Air Force C17 ZZ176 arrived at Minneapolis St Paul International Airport around 1840 (local time) for a refuling stop apparently on the way to Long Beach for maintenance.

No, it was on the way to NAF El Centro to deliver two Apaches (ZJ182 and ZJ222).
The one in maintenance/upgrade is ZZ174 (departed Brize Norton on 11 August 2016). This is being done at San Antonio ALC??
