REQ: Palma - Son San Juan 20/09/22

Post by sloegin » Thu Sep 22, 2022 12:07 am

Morning

On taxying out from Palma Airport on Tuesday 20th Sep, managed to see the following (any tie-up's would be more than welcome....)

.......... Be.350 (with search radar underneath) landed about 1230z (1330lt) with AME roundel on fuselage and blue/green band on fuselage
.......... SA.330J (preserved ?) Sitting on a rather small disused heli-pad in front Ops/Control tower in middle of military ramp

The Be.350 was seen sitting on the military apron - on checking photos it could be DT.05-01 of the Guardia Civil - if anyone could confirm if they only have the one Be.350 ??. The
SA.330J looks like a new preserved airframe as the 'heli-pad' it was sitting on, is not showing on Google Maps and seemed a little congested/disused to an operational heli-pad
(EuroDemobbed show HD.19-7 as preserved here, but the Scramble database shows this aircraft and HD.19-6 both here awaiting preservation ??).

And the $64 question, does anyone have an idea of the current fleet of AS.332/H215 at Palma ? - as saw three in one of the hangars (one of which was being pushed onto the ramp
as we left) and two CN235 and a B.206 Jet Ranger were in the other hangar?

As said any assistance would be gratefully received .

Brgds George
