Do you know how you apply for the spotters day?

I sent an email to:- defence.athens@fco.gov.uk

I received a reply with some details and dates and ask that I supply passport and contact details

I haven't heard anything since then but it has only been a few days since I replied so hopefully I am in the mix somewhere

This maybe a stupid question but this is my first time doing a foreign Exercise, I have received the list of questions from the Embassy. One of the questions just says ‘ Affiliation ‘ is this only answerable for the media day or spotters day too?

For those that may have applied, the Media Day scheduled for the 28th has apparently now been cancelled.

Just received an update saying the process has changed

The two spotters days are still happening :-

We would like to inform you that the Exercise “Iniochos 23’’ is going to be conducted from April 24th to May 5th 2023, at Andravida Air Base.



Spotters Days:

1st day: Wednesday, 26th of April 2023

2nd day: Monday, 3rd of May 2023



Ticket Price: 15€ per day





In order to participate, you have to submit a request to spokesman.haf@gmail.com , no later than 31st of March, mentioning the following:



a) Name - Surname
b) Passport’s number and a scanned copy of the first page of it

c) Email address

d) Your consent with the ticket price

e) Which day or days you wish to attend

NOTE 2: Please be aware that each and everyone receiving this email who has already submitted a request, has to resend the request, stating the required information above.

Although it looks like the Israeli Vipers won't be there the participant list has been significantly enhanced with the addition of Saudi Eagles and someone else but I can't remember what? It was quite nice though.

As per Scramble SIS Jordanian F16,s. At some stage there were rumours about UAE M2000,s, but that seem to be incorrect.

Scramble SIS has so far reported Aviano F-16s, Israeli Sufas, Italian Tornados, French Mirage 2000s, Spanish F-18s, Saudi F-15s, UAE Mirage 2000s, Cyprus Aw139, Jordanian F-16s, Slovenian PC-9M, USAF MQ-9, French AF Rafales and operating from their respective carriers FN Rafales and USN F-18s.

That list seems to have been full of rumour and/or wishful thinking. Those in bold are now not listed.

Things can, and have changed since the beginning of January. So i have updated SIS once new information became available.

The Israelians and Aviano's have cancelled afterwards. I must admit i can't find the source for the two carriers anymore.
Some of the other participants were marked as rumors, for instance the UAE M2000's, but it seems like this is not very clear for some people (no offense), i have tried before to make this more clear in the SIS, but that is not possible.
Just to be sure, it is not a wishful thinking list, i won't go there, and have no interest/ benefit or whatever in spreading rumors.

Thanks for the reply and yes I recognise that things can and do change and given the current climate it is to be expected I guess. As for how the information is marked, yes it is clear but personally I'd prefer to see rumour kept off SIS and wait to see what gets confirmed as the exercise gets nearer. Thats not my call though and I guess its a tough one trying to balance out what people want to read.
