It sounds like someone did give it a go and they got visited by the police, unsure but rumours of arrests here in Greece.

Well I’m glad I opted for low level today then. Caught a couple polish f16s but missed a very late single SU30 pass

Can’t believe(wait I can believe), that people would still run the risk of spotting outside a Greek base two days after the authorities held a spotters day. Talk about taking the pee and sticking two fingers up at your hosts. Actions like this as Nighthawk said earlier, will be the death of such events.

Hopefully the culprits have felt the force of the law.

Was the Su-30 landlocked in the canyon?

It came in with a NASA topside then leveled out and was just about landlocked for a few seconds from what I've seen

Did anyone attending the “spotters day”, hear anything about the F-4 retirement date?

Nobody knows for sure, most probably next year, when the base will close for the preparations to welcome the F-35s.

Andravida 2026, after that Araxos. Also some interesting words about Ramstein Flag 2026:

Any kind soul who visited Tatoi on Sunday 6th of April and able to share the ID's of the Tecnams and PZL M-18's they have read? I have seen some serials from Saturday and Sunday before, but there seem to be some discrepancies between those.

10x Tecnam; 337, 338, 342, 344, 345, 346, 347, 348, 349, 350 (others have 343 instead of 350)

14x PZL M-18 (possibly one obscured by a hangar and not visible from outside the fence. We noted that one on our arrival flt into Athens). I have only seen 11 serials from saturday.

Surely like the rest of us you log and count what you read yourself?
If you didn’t read any then it begs the question why not?

Normally I do my own logging, but since I was in company of others that don't fancy loitering outside Greek airbases, I respected their wishes and had to settle with a drive by (and the overflight). And yes, I also log serials that haven't been read by me personally, that is the joy of this hobby. Everyone is entitled to experience it his/her way.

If you don't want to answer my request, thats perfectly fine, but you can also refrain from anwering my request instead of questioning my intents. The power of this forum is sharing and helping eachother out, isn't it?

I think the point that I was making is that numbers on an apron can change all of the time (yes, even at weekends). I do my own polling and logging but I would quite happily take a log from somebody who was just leaving as I was arriving (for example) but I wouldn't take somebody's log from 5 hours before I got there. There's just no guarantee that everything is the same.

Re being in the company of others that don't fancy loitering outside Greek airbases. None of us do! It's a necessary evil if one wants to get some numbers in the book. Quite frankly there isn't any point going if one isn't going to make an effort to read off what they see.

I'm more than happy to share with you my log for the 31st March!

Regards
