Yet more from Fairford

Post by ndfilter » Thu Jun 19, 2014 9:29 am

I put these on your Facebook page but I've had a look at the instructions and so I'll have a go at putting them on here. Hope you like them, assuming I can get this to work!!!

With all the recent images of the Buff's and Spirit's it's been very difficult to choose a 'best of' , but your pic of the two kids going to sneak a peak is brilliant ! So much better in B&W too - well done indeed.

That is stunning, especially the image of the two youngsters off to get closer to the B-52's

The first BUFF shot is lovely, but that shot of the two kids is just superb!

I would just like to say what a wonderful picture No3 is.

It epitomises my childhood, long hot summer days on our bikes with a mate or two, off to do a bit of spotting.

Good stuff, well captured

Thanks folks, I haven't taken any aircraft stuff (except for museums) since a Fairford departure day in 2006 (was it really that long ago?) Anyway, it was nice to go back to doing it, thanks again to your forum for the daily info that got me there.

All amazing shots but that one of the 2 boys going down the field is just terrific photography at its best and the black and white makes it even better.we have all seen hundreds of pics from members on here of fairford over the past couple of weeks and its very hard to choose a best shot but ifi was a judge of a photography comp I would pic that shot of the two boys its just a corking shot and kinda takes me back to wen I was a boy. A very well done to all and I just wanna wish the crews a safe journey home and we hope they can grace the UK skies again sometime and say a big thankyou to them.

It's lovely to think of children growing up like that, it's sort of refreshing and hopeful just when you thought technology had taken over everything. Two mates after school wheeling their bikes across the field where the crew probably waved to them. They'll remember that.

Yup 3 is a stunner. Sums up the joys of avaitaion when i was a kid - when i had no worries and life was about the next issue of Aircraft Illustrated (i still miss it), Airfix models and the scanning of the skies at the meerest sound of jet noise (which i still do!).
