It's good to see it being delivered early, a bigger sqn logo on the tail would look better.

Nice pics, well captured.

Are they the same CFM engines as the Sentry?

Great shots, I guess I'll get used to the USAF colour scheme.

Thank goodness the dreadful, sloping 'Y' and 'A' have not found their way into the ROYAL AIR FORCE titles! Looks real nice!

Three in total. The other two are due to be delivered in 2015 and 2017 respectively.

Yes, they have been converted to CFM56 engines. The cockpits are also part-glass, rather than 49 year old dials!

She looks nice! Nice catch.
May the skies be clear and blue and the wind fair with a guiding star to steer by.

Where has the jet been parked? Alpha with the sentries or the old 51 sqd dispersal?

Cheers,

Mike

Awesome, I think the aircraft looks really smart.
adamp89 wrote:please tell me they are not calling it 'Airseeker'?
I'm pretty sure i read some where they were calling it rivet joint
Airseeker was the name of the project, so the aircraft will still be called Rivet Joint.

I wonder if the aircraft will change designation at all - I've seen RC-135W banded about but I wonder if it'll gain an 'R1' designation?

THE MOD official arrival announcement refers to the aircraft as a Rivet Joint;
