Green Flag Coningsby 3/9/13 - Pic Heavy

After a stupidly early start I arrived at Coningsby just after 07:00 to find a number of even more enthusiastic togs already in place.
By 10am the early morning mist had burn off and it was looking like we were in for a better morning than the weather forecast gnome has predicted and the fence line was heaving with folks eagerly anticipating the mornings traffic. Unfortunately the skies clagged up after lunch reducing much of the afternoons opportunities from the mound to silhouette city.

Plenty of good activity during the morning though, for the familiarisation flights, just a pity that the local boys pulled onto the piano keys ahead of the Saudis, obscuring the best angles with jelly.
Anyway here’s a few (ok more than a few) from the day

Rob, thanks for the kind feedback, they did not change ends on Tuesday, or at least not while I was there which was until about 15:30

Some really nice aircraft at Coningsby at the moment, the only problem, of course is all of the halfwits that it attracts and the endless utter drivel that you hear being spouted at the fence, it really spoils it.
Hi marshallbrownranger, Yes I had noticed that I had left the lights in on the last shot, it was meant to be a tongue in cheek shot, hence the caption of the "worst composed shot of the day" to conclude the post and was the shot immediately before #14

Agree some it's nice to see some variety and something a bit different for a change, will have to try and make another trip before they depart

Blakey, I just got lucky with the morning sun, have plenty of shots in heavy cloud from the afternoon
