Arriving at Johns Field prior to a planned on base visit it did cross my mind that a wet suit might have been better attire for the day, but thank fully the weather, for the most part, relented and a good day was had by all.
Some big thank you`s are in order, in particular to Charlie for organising this visit, our bus driver `Kimi` for transporting us to and from Johns field and around the station, and most importantly thank you to the staff that escorted us around Mildenhall and all those Officers NCO's and airmen who went out of their way to make us feel more than welcome.
It was a pity I couldn`t wait for the B2 to appear but as it went tech anyway, maybe next time eh
So, to all the guys on yesterdays visit, thanks for the banter and good times - when are we doing it again??
I hope you like them, thanks for looking. T

Hi all.. I'm after a bit of information on the hall base visits.. 1. Does this cost? 2. How long do they last on how do you arrange them? Last I heard you need at least 15 people and your own transport to accommodate a tour guide? Is this true?

thanks Luke

Fantastic post of the trip - I will try to get some of mine posted when I get a moment

At break neck speed without getting into top gear as he knew he could wring more power out of the bus on the back straight!

Definitely - great hosts and laugh throughout the day. And of course Charlie for arranging
The look on peoples faces as we piled out of the bus - class! B-2 wind up on the Dutch which they believed - fantastic
Hope the university boy's haircut gets completed! Great to meet you yestersday
Cheers
Darren

Nice selection Paddy, nothing wrong with the quality, and some really different angles and shots. I like them, even if you did get me one one of them!!!!
Thanks for sharing, mate

Great additions Paddy - nice to see some from different angles and no apologies needed for quality.
My apologies for my leg appearing in your shot of the cockpit of the 135.
Cheers

Hi Guys
Thanks for the nice replies
It was
seriously good to have a day with you all
Didn't it go quick though
Deerhunter (Dave) belled me today (in the middle of my duty) to inform me that he had just had a nice trip around the Osprey and had chatted to the Colonel in charge of the SOG
The trip has just been shown on local TV: couldn't see the lucky so-and-so, but would have given the one-fingered salute close to the tele if I had
Very best regards, guys
Paddyboy

God it was cramped sitting in that Osprey
