My first post on here. While taking these I was asked if I'd be uploading them on here - ( I sometimes post on another site but I notice that Leuchars posts seem to be more popular over here ) - so here for the 3 gents that asked about them is a wee selection from a rather busy couple of hours at my local base).
All taken with my new Nikon D7100 and Sigma 50-500mm OS set-up which seems to be delivering rather nice results....

Image
1. Hawk with 2 Typhoons.

2. 1 Sqn Typhoon.

3. 100 Sqn Hawk.

4. Another photo pass.

5. Typhoon turning finals.

Image
6. Up and over.

7. Against the light.

Image
8. Twin-stick Typhoon.

Image
9. Hawk special.

Image
10. Lynx departure (should've used a slower shutter speed).

Image
11. Formation flyover.

12. Hawk finals.

14. Photoshoot formation.

All comments welcome.

Looks like I was wrong. Thanks to the handful that looked. Won't waste my time posting here in future.

Sorry I've only just seen these. It would be great to see more regular photo posts on here as it seems to be quite a rare occurrence. You've included the first shots (that I've seen) of a fully marked up ZK336/FD and ZK338/FF. Top effort - thanks for posting.

Steven.

The Lynx was on board HMS Edinburgh, it was parked on the Edinburgh's Helideck on Saturday when the Edinburgh was parked in Leith.

Nice selection. It's always good to see what happens at other bases.
First pic I've seen of a 1(F) Sqn Typhoon with the Pilot wearing the lumpy Bone dome.

Thanks, guys. Not particularly fussed about receiving comments or not, Chris, (although it is always nice to see that someone took the time to comment), but at the time I commented earlier - 200 or so page views didn't really justify the time/effort taken to put the post together in the first place. I don't take too many aircraft photos these days so but I do prefer to show those I do to an aviation-minded audience rather than just my mostly uninterested flickr friends, hence posting on here (and the other place). Will post again when I have something to share. :)

Please do - health issues mean I can no longer visit Leuchars and efforts by folks like you are really appreciated - even though we don't always say so. ;)

Keep on posting the pics, the more we get from Leuchars the better! I'm not into photography but I love to see my local action in here!

Many thanks,

Mikey
