Hi gents,
after Manching Wednesday, I have been to Wittmund a day later, to visit some friends within the JG 71 "R".
Again, my main focus was to capture the mighty Phantoms in snowy conditions too. And also the newest RETRO-jet : 38+33 in NORM 81 scheme.
And we were succesfull - snow and blue a sky was what we found in Wittmund that day, as it was only in morning a bit greay.
It was once again a very enjoyable day, on the flightline and near the Runway in Wittmund too.
With all the snow it was a great atmosphere.....but we got sun and plenty of mighty Phantom action - what do u need more?!
Luckily the weather was on our side again, and we had awesome conditions during the shooting that day. A big "Thank You" must go to everyone involved in Wittmund that worked hard to make this shooting happen. Everyone did an extraordinary job on that day.....
So after two days of "hardcore" Phantom-hunting, my decision was good...driving again also to Wittmund in the morning and returning home afterwards. Spending more as 1600 km on the highway - but it was more as worth, and as result we could shoot plenty of mighty Phantoms under blue skies from WTD 61 and JG 71 "R"!
Ok enough of my blabla, and the impressions will tell the rest of the story, as always......
