Hi,

A few pics from the incident at Linton today.

Scene when I arrived.

Shots I managed before the area was 'closed down'.

As you can see, the aircraft looks pretty much intact.

The re-balancing after the hammer and anvil treatment might be a tad more difficult.

But on a serious note, it is good that this has a happy ending and not a sad one.

Nice to hear that everyone is okay (probably down to the fact RAF pilots are very well trained!). I assume this Tucano will be stored and used as parts from now on? I was under the impression the RAF had more Tucano's than they need and some are already in storage? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Steven.

Hi,

There are quite a few in storage at the moment although when I was at Shawbury in October one of the guys said that about 27 were going up for tender.

Ths one could be repaired depending on the damage but I personally think it will be stripped down of usable parts and then follow 344 & 409 to the coke can factory.
