Lossie @ night

Post by Sylvester » Thu Dec 27, 2012 10:37 pm

Well it is the time of year for catching up on the backlog of processing, so these are much delayed shots from Lossie back in April.
It was in fact pitch black, so please forgive the noise and heavy reduction. Unfortunately we picked a week with very little night activity.

Nice. Inspiring stuff, I'll have to make the journey up sometime. 6 is a cracker!

Excellent set, something I've wanted to but not done yet!

It can be very hit and miss in terms of what and how many aircraft fly (unless you have some really good contacts (which I don’t)), needs a lot of patience waiting to see if they come out to play and the awaiting their return.
Also needs a lot of prep to get setup and ready and a big dose of luck with the settings, or a lot of practice but when you see them go off or a low pass with both burners alight its absolutely stunning and worth the effort investment.

I wish I was closer to Lossie and could get some more practice in but seriously if you get a chance to try this out definitely give it a go
