Yes More Low Level Phantoms!

I hope no one is bored of these Phantoms yet but the Turkish Air Force really did treat us to a special show on the Saturday! Friday was a 21 hour day from leaving home and that night consisted of a 3.5 hour drive in terrible road conditions down to Eskisehir. a few hours of sleep and back on the road for another couple of hours driving, thankfully easier on the Saturday morning. What had been a pretty exhausting 36 hours left me wondering what on earth I was doing. Given this event was put on with little notice I was surprise just how many spotters had put the effort in to stand on the side of a cold Turkish hillside. A few hours passed and a distant Phantom brought with it the only sunshine of the trip. 24 passes later a spontaneous round of applause for our hosts, huge smiles and 1400 photos on the memory card and I realised why I went to all the effort!
