Popped over to the hall on 24th and 25th October. Lots of visiting tankers and other heavies plus the bonus of the four NJ ANG Vipers.

Great set, really need a couple of days with the heavies, so hit and miss though.

Great selection.
Out of interest, were the two NATO E3A shots (15 & 16) taken on the same approach - I suspect not. First one appears normal, but the second shows the main gear doors open suggesting an emergency/freefall lowering of the gear, which is already down on the first shot with no doors visible.

On many jetliners (E-3 based on the 707 of course), the doors extend during landing gear extension and retraction. So the second shot looks to me like gear retraction has been initiated during a go-around. Therefore both shots could be of the same approach.

She did a mix of missed approaches and touch and gos and I can’t recall which approach was which out of those shots without checking.

Exif data from Flickr shows 16 mins apart so not the same approach.
