RAF Chinook ZK555 and MH-47G's 02918 and 02914 conducting approaches onto a dam in the Brecon Beacons during Ex Dark Lightning 12 Sep 2024, I'm guessing this was a fast roping exercise given that they hover for about a minute each however unfortunately no ropes were used. As you can see the weather was awful just as they arrived, even including a bit of hail at one point. Fantastic flying by the pilot's to be able to locate the dam with such bad visibility
I completely forgot to post these photo's when I took them so here they are a bit later

The 160th SOAR pilot's are so good they can literally do a one wheel pinnacle landing lol
