Lakenheath 12th September VT F-35s and BOEING 37E

TREND 11 to 14. These used to be the 'Green Mountain Boys' but now appear to be the 'Yellow Scorpions'. Anyone know when that changed? A quick Google didn't throw up any clues.

This went for a test flight as BOEING 37E. Apparently it still had it's Qatari markings yesterday!

I did see that, but didn't feel it answered the question. Don't recall the squadron being referred to as the Yellow Scorpions in the F-16 days.

The F-16s looked like this:
