Don't often make the effort to get to Fairford for bombers, but had it in my mind I would try this time. Friday was a nice day, so I was planning on coming down, even if to just walk the fence and see them. When KIPPY51 went outbound over the house in Northants I decided to head out the door and race her back to Fairford. The M40 was closed which lead to some serious delays, but I still beat her by an hour. I was prepared to stay the course in case if was a long mission, but I guess they didn't want to miss Friday happy hour
Anyway, here's KIPPY51 arriving back on Friday. Does anyone know what the mission marks on the nose are for? Or what the nose art says - can't quite read it..
