KIPPY51 Fri 7th June

Post by alhenderson » Mon Jun 10, 2024 9:32 am

Don't often make the effort to get to Fairford for bombers, but had it in my mind I would try this time. Friday was a nice day, so I was planning on coming down, even if to just walk the fence and see them. When KIPPY51 went outbound over the house in Northants I decided to head out the door and race her back to Fairford. The M40 was closed which lead to some serious delays, but I still beat her by an hour. I was prepared to stay the course in case if was a long mission, but I guess they didn't want to miss Friday happy hour :)

Anyway, here's KIPPY51 arriving back on Friday. Does anyone know what the mission marks on the nose are for? Or what the nose art says - can't quite read it..

Al.
