Thanks a lot for sharing these great pictures Petepilot. I always love to go to Lossiemouth as it is one of the best bases for photographing, if not the best. Although the base is not so busy anymore as in the past, it remains an interesting place to visit as your photos prove.

I agree with Thunder .... the red bellied P-8 is a triumph but the star of the show is the Orion.

Thanks for kind comments everyone. Tbh, the red-bellied P8 and vortex sucking Typhoon were simply a case of right place, right time! I do agree that the P3/CP140 were the highlights of my time at Lossie :thumb:

My '77 visit was to catch EL coded A7s (I might have the year wrong!) but your point is well made - Lossie not as exciting as it once was!
