Mildenhall and Lakenheath Friday 15th

Post by gary1701 » Sat Sep 16, 2023 4:12 pm

Gents,

My only run out doing this exercise that brought any decent results. Mildenhall first for the 480th, although only 4 came past Folly, then they decided to do a FOD check and send the remainder down the runway.

Then next door in anticipation of the Norwegians coming back, plus a few others.

Note the chute attachment on the upper fuselage.

Lovely set of images, the Vipers look great taxiing past Folly Road. The A-4 shots are very nice too.

Great set of images.
Just wondering about the effect of the drag chute housing on the stealth capability, presumably minimal.

First pictures I have seen of Vipers taxi past Folly. Shame the others backtracked. Thanks for posting these great images

Thanks gents. I must admit to being a bit disappointed about the F-16s taxiing down the runway. The previous afternoon when I had gone over everybody had gone South. Of course it had gone grey and overcast by then, as usual!
