RCAF Contingent - Prestwick 28 August 2023

The first three Canadian Hornets for CW23-2 arrived at Prestwick around 1845L Monday 28th August as CANFORCE0851 Flight. The aircraft positioned to Prestwick and night stopped prior to hopping across to Waddington today (Wednesday 30th) prior to their participation in Cobra Warrior 23-2. The Hornets were: 188757, 188774 both with small 425 Sqn markings on the fin tip and 188735 which still carries the scheme from its time as the 2021 demonstration aircraft. CC-150 15005 (CANFORCE3322) was the accompanying tanker and finally CC-130H-30 130343 (CANFORCE2199) provided SAR cover for the crossing. The remaining four Hornets should have joined this trio this evening for the exercise.
