It's been a while since I last posted. Here is my selection from a day on base, at the tower in the morning and on the old TACAN hardstanding beside the runway in front of the new fire section in the afternoon. A very good, busy day that reminded me of the good old days.
7 FN Rafales from 12Flotille, Landivisiau.

A French Navy E2C Hawkeye (No.2) arrives to take part in Exercise Formidable Shield.

No143, FN Falcon 10MER (‘Marine Entraînement Radar – Navy Radar Training’.) was another visitor to arrive late morning. It is currently used primarily for transportation and has been in FN service for almost 48 years!!

No.39, FN Rafale with marked fuel tanks.

Rafale No.3 departs on a mission as GAF 14+04 Bombardier Global 5000 holds.

This Italian Airforce twin stick EF2000T Typhoon MM55131/4-34 arrived late morning. It has small Italian Airforce centenary markings.

Arriving with the twinstick was this EF2000 Typhoon MM7430/4-64 also marked with a small centenary badge.

This Tranche 1 Typhoon of 9Sqn is seen here taxying out whilst operating with 1Sqn.

A hometeam Typhoon of 1Sqn performs an unrestricted takeoff.

A 3ship of Rafales taxi out for Rwy05 to start an afternoon sortie.

A pair carrying Laser Guided Training Rounds taxi out for a sortie at Tain. This is a close up of No.3 showing the LGTR.

The old TACAN hardstanding is great for closeup shots. It was a favourite location back in the day too.

An obligatory Lighthouse shot with a resident Typhoon and Poseidon taking up the foreground.

Rafale No.3 rotates.

A 3ship of Typhoons return.

A 4ship of Rafales return.

A visiting USN P8 departs from Rwy05.

Rafale No.28 returns.

The Rafales looked quite at home at Lossie and indeed a lot of the crews have been here on numerous occasions whether it be land based or operating from the CdG.

Thanks for looking
