Hi all. First time posting here. The Bahrain Government brought one of their 747-400s into Heathrow on 12th April so I managed to get out and take some photos while airside. Definite perks of the job as 747s aren't very common now at Heathrow since the demise of the BA fleet.

That's a great set there, these Bahraini VIP jets look very smart - shot 3 especially catches my eye.

Thank you. I have to agree with you on shot 3. Not sure if it's the bright Panther in the background or something else, but it's one of my favourites.

Fantastic post - gotta love a jumbo.

A well kept machine. UK aviation has become duller since retirement of the B744 from our skies.
1 & 2 for me, but all are great photo’s. Right place, right time.

Nice catch,saw my first one at Brize Norton yesterday.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I'll keep my eye out for any other 747s for sure, especially rarer ones like government jets.
