A-10C Thunderbolt II party @ Prestwick 30/05

Post by scorpont » Tue May 31, 2022 11:31 am

What a day - along with 10 Fairchild A-10Cs of the 104th Fighter Squadron (175WG Maryland ANG), there was plenty else to see. And so many faces put to names, an awesome day.

Although civvie, the AN-12 dumping coal was quite a sight to behold. And nice to see Ukrainian aircraft still going.

Nice, mate. The Antonov is a great footnote too :)

Great panning skills.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

Very good selection. They are nice angles

At least I now know what 78-0705 looks like now even though I won't be seeing it!

Superb set, what a day, thanks for sharing :thumb:
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Some brilliant shots of some nice visitors, thanks for sharing them. Love the AN12, dosen't matter whether they're civil or military, they still look great, especially when they've got some clag coming out the engines. Greta wouldn't approve of that!

AN12. Love the fin painting and the lettering. Picture of the sun, and CAVOK in flying terms means cloud and visibility are clear.[o.k.]

Cheers guys! Was a blast to capture them, decided to be brave with the shutterspeed and it payed off I reckon.

Miracle that 135 pan turned out okay at 1/80 but I won't complain at all

great pics... just waiting for the "that's not a military aircraft" comments for the AN-12
then the "well it once was a military aircraft"

I think shoving it as a footnote was an effective countermeasure :D
