Mildenhall And Fairford Flying Visits!

Post by Will24 » Sun Sep 19, 2021 10:11 am

Hi All,

After being blown out Tuesday by the U boat as he diverted for Germany I thought it was game over for seeing him.. Wednesday me and misses where heading on a short break to Cotswolds, leaving Norwich I saw U Boat was on route game on.. we then headed to Fairford for an hour Thursday.. then on the way home golden arches called for drink stop at Barton Mills.. luckily a good buddy of mine messaged saying gunship in bound, couldn't believe my luck what a week!

Very nice mate! Well done

Nice to see the 'bandage' on the inboard RC-135 engine

Glad you had a good time down south and sorry we did not get to meet up on Wednesday but you had more important things on (Cotswold Wild Life Park -  )

Hopefully catch up soon

Beautiful shots, all very interesting catches also - never seen a U-2 with nose art for example. Love that first shot of it!
I guess that replacement cowling on the RC is following the bumpy landing a couple of week-ends ago - right? Looks like it's been borrowed from one of the tanker fleet?

Thank you, my first time shooting art on one I must say. It sure is the bandage borrowed from a KC
