Thanks Andy.

What area of the SW did you live in?

Roger
About 12 miles north west of Okehampton.

Andy

Thanks.

That would have been a handy place for activity over the Moor ranges.
Didn't need to. My Dad was a teacher at a boarding school, and just about every thing that flew back then used it as a waypoint/target.

Vulcans in stream coming up the valley past my bedroom window low level. Trails of Hercs following the ridgeline on the opposite side of the valley SKEx-ing.

Chivenor & Brawdy Hunters/Hawks constantly playing in the skies outside my clasroom window. SAR Whirlwinds and Wessex screaming over the house on the way to Plymouth Hospital.

Buccaneers "bombing" blow-up tanks.......

Ah, happy days.

Andy

Fantastic!
And there's a circle in that having watched the Buccs and the blow up dolls, sorry tanks, in my youth, my last tour in the RAF was as a Controller on the range at Holbeach.....go figure!

I made three more trips down to Exeter during the G7 deployment, and managed to photograph the Ospreys flying on two occasions, so a 75% success rate overall isn’t a bad return in my eyes.

On Saturday 12 June, I managed to photograph two Ospreys returning after a flight to Culdrose :

Thanks to the information posted on here, I made my final trip on departure day - Monday 14 June. Bloomin' hot though!!

With the last of the Otis tankers departing, that was it. Pleased to have had the opportunity to catch some G7 support movements.

Thanks for looking, hope you haven't got G7 overload by now.
