RNAS Yeovilton - 8 April 2021

Post by Seacat192 » Thu Apr 08, 2021 6:33 pm

The expected return of the Navy Wings operated Sea Fury was the main draw for my trip to Yeovilton, though in the end it didn't make it.

A brief cameo by the Navy Wings operated Tiger Moth and a few touch and goes by a civvy flight trainer gave a bit of variety from the Wildcats and Merlins. Good to see one of the last green Merlin Mk3s yet to be converted, which departed to Holbeach Range.

Thanks George.

I took these photos from Pyle Lane in Yeovilton village, on the south side of the airfield.

Follow the signs to the Fleet Air Arm Memorial Church, and continue to the bottom of the lane.
