Waiting, listening and running around the SPTA and a call in at FFD to boot
What follows are some of the images captured during two afternoons spent in and around the SPTA. A lot of sitting around eating, listening to scanners and trying to intercept movements on ADSB resulted in much fun, about 6km total of running and great memories.
Monday afternoon was glorious, too good in fact with heat haze off the grass causing some issues for sharpness. We found a broken AH64 on the plain, a couple of chinooks and a Wildcat in and around the various locations. We popped over to Fairford to catch an arriving B52 in the evening sunset, but left before dark when it became obvious the others were returning much later in the evening. Tuesday started misty, then deteriorated into low cloud and rain (as can be seen on AH64D image) for most of the day. Still we bagged another chinook, puma, wildcat, apache and ETPS squirrel for our endeavours, before calling in a FFD for the Wednesday morning departures in subdued and grey light, so I've spared you those images as there are so many good images in pinging light on the other threads.
Hope you like the shots and C&C welcomed as always.....

SPTA images are great, I'd love to know more about where you took them from... But the B-52 images: wow!!! Those are something special!

Kelvin, I have to agree about photo 9. That has to be a cert for photo of the month.
