Aviano Vipers and Lakenheath Eagles

Post by A380_sully » Thu Sep 10, 2020 8:58 am

Had a pleasurable day around the fence at RAF Lakenheath on 2nd September. Gambled with the morning backlight to try and beat the impending tarmac heat haze and some of the results shown below. I hope you like the results.

Your Gamble paid-off! The well managed lighting actually accentuates the images. (with your excellent PP.) Very different & impressive shots here.

They're a fabulous set of images :thumb: I was at the forest gates last Monday (8th), arrived there at 5am and managed to bag a good spot overlooking the last chance/piano keys. And was then subsequently "boxed in" by more arriving "pilgrims" :D. But unfortunately the main event didn't really happen until after 3pm, by which time the Sun had moved around to the North. Which photographically separated the men from the boys, needless to say my skills were a little rusty - I haven't checked my results yet . Anyway I'll be back at Lakenheath on Mon 20th, so will try your example myself, shooting from the viewing area. Plus you can get a decent bacon butty there? :thumb:
Everyone has a photographic memory; some just don't have film.
