Interesting to see external stores on the f-35. What's that pod on the centre line in pic 25?
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

Very nice set, thanks for sharing. Couple of typos I suspect: FA-18 CE-01 is 165684 (165864 is an F/A-18E) and we logged CH-53 164859 as YK-859 (not YN-).

Cheers, ZF.

Fabulous collection Kevin, about 18 years since I visited Yuma, but a great place to go in the winter. :)

I used to also go to the Barry Goldwater ranges near to Gila Bend, the staff were always very helpful, especially up the range tower when the A-10's were around. :)

Yes winter would be great as less heat haze

All those fast pointy things, and the best shot there is the black T28. Great set of pics. :thumb:

( That should be the T34. Getting my Trojan's and Mentor's mixed up there.)

Great set of numerous types shot from a super location! Is there a backstory as to why F-35B VMFA 122 '01' (shot 19) is the mildly colourful variety, whilst '00' (Shot 28) is a Plain-Jane?

Not sure but a lot of USMC fighters squadron 01 tends to be colorful jet as earlier CE01

Interesting, thanks. I was considering that (Marines different?) as an explanation when I saw the V-22 of VMX-1 is "00" :S However, that of course is not a 'Fighter Squadron' as per your posting.
