MADRAS 712 - QRA tanker returns.

Post by WinchesterMGF » Sun Mar 15, 2020 6:57 pm

Hi.

Thanks to the heads up on this forum, I made a 7 hour round trip from Suffolk to Fairford on Thursday for the B2 arrivals. Never get tired of seeing a B2! Popped over to Brize Norton before heading home and caught the return of ZZ336 - the QRA tanker that had been up in response to the pesky Russians.

Very nice shot ..... do the QRA tanker flights use a different call sign or squawk that identifies them as such ?

I see a good few Voyagers high over my part of the world (mainly on screen) but wouldn't know if they are regular flights or QRA related.

Cheers :)
