Liberia Airport, Costa Rica - February 2020

Just returned from a marvelous two weeks in this wonderful country. Apart from flying in and out of Liberia Airport in Guanacaste province we had cause to pass by on a few occasions on various excursions (sloths, volcanoes etc..). Noted a number of aircraft on the ground which might be of interest to readers of these pages so tried to get a few shots, which are of variable quality (mainly to do with being taken through the windows of speeding buses...)

At the side of the road in a compound were a small number of 'preserved' aircraft one of which was MSP002 a DHC Caribou formerly operated by the |Costa Rica Security Police. The country has had no army since 1949.
