EC-130H AXIS 25

Post by BOLLO » Sat Oct 05, 2019 8:09 pm

Hello all.A few shots from today's slightly later than expected EC-130H AXIS 25 from Souda Bay.This may well be the last EC-130H COMPASS CALL to pass through the Hall with the inactivation of the 43rd Expeditionary Electronic Combat Squadron.?? But first,a couple of CNV 3404 C-130T-30 departing the Hall last Sunday.

I would think if the expeditionary squadron has been de-activated it would mean there are no more down range?.Might be worth getting wet tomorrow to hopefully see it depart.

Nice set Paul, looks like the last light of the day for Axis 25, a classic aircraft, i was just saying to a mate at Prestwick yesterday that it could be the final one through the UK. That will be a sad day if thats the case.
Cheers.

Considering the light (or lack of it) you did well mate. Lovely photos.
Weather today isn't looking good, and the wind is changing direction later...11 in the morning 29 in the afternoon??

You're going to be seeing a variant of the Gulfstream 550, the EC-37B, operating in the Compass Call role.
