RAF Waddington - Home Team

Post by johnwickenden » Thu Sep 12, 2019 8:00 pm

I appreciate that there is a seperate Cobra Warrior photo section but I thought that I would take the opportunity to get some shots of the based aircraft and post them here, leaving the other section purely for the fighters. Nice to get the chance to photograph the based units....normally Waddo is just a place I stop at briefly on my way to or from Coningsby....nothing much ever seems to happen here. Luckily the second Tuesday of Cobra Warrior saw all of the based types moving over the course of a couple of hours

First to move (arrive) was the Shadow

Next was the Rivet Joint (I know 'we' call it the Airseeker, but it will always be a Rivet Joint to me)

Then a Sentry....

and finally a Sentinel (which was a little high for a decent shot)

Its gonna rain, its gonna rain till the levee breaks, a tidal wave of fear and pain washes us away, another fight into the night until nothing else remains, how do we find harbour from the Hurricane?
