31/01/19 An MC-130J of 67th SOS Mildenhall conducted natural surface landings at Cefn Sidan (Pembrey Sands). One of those days where the weather and lighting actually work together.

Spectacular. I'm amazed the wheels don't sink in, do they reduce the tyre pressures for this, anyone know?

I'm not sure about that. The landing area gets a thorough going over before hand. They check the amount of water under the surface etc.

I have of course heard of RAF Hercs landing on the sands but didn't know the USAF also had a go.
