Heritage Monday at the Hall (CV-22 in Heritage markings)

Post by XWP29 » Tue Jun 04, 2019 4:26 am

Really enjoying the last few days here with the various F.C. posts at this special time. :thumb:

Caught these on Monday and pleased to bag the Heritage contingent from the 67th SOS and the 100th ARW, with an ILS approach from the 492nd FS. On the Heritage feed I've also added some from the day before. Not current Mil  but in keeping with the D-Day remembrance. We will remember them.

A fantastic set from Mildenhall, but those air to airs of the spitfires are out of this world, superb.

Brilliant set of pics

I was looking for your Spitfire pics as I knew you went up in a Dak - were they taken through an open door or do the windows open, either way they are superb.

Hi Mike,
Thanks.
Standing on a zip wire in the open door of a Dakota. It will stay very long in the memory. The guys at the Centre of Aviation Photography deserve much of credit for their fantastic organisation of the flight.
Windows? There were some photographers at the fixed windows over the wing.

Good to see you yesterday and admired your parking skills in a tight spot. 👍

Awesome air to airs there. Those Spit breaks are different class. Methinks Dibbsy may have some competition at last.
