NATO badged Typhoons RAF Coningsby 22 May

Post by Binbrook123 » Fri May 24, 2019 6:06 pm

Spent an enjoyable day at Coningsby, very active all day including full Practice Display. Two aircraft wearing NATO badges.

Those badges are hardly worth the effort. Even more pathetic than last years RAF100 stickers. Nice pics tho'.

Could you show us the designs YOU would have liked to see on the jets, by way of balance?

Not very professional looking, but they might be what NATO have decreed. Something more akin to what the NATO AWACS display would be more appropriate IMHO.

Anything is better than the endless unmarked grey Typhoons there. Thankfully 41sqn are allowed to mark theirs and ZK372 in 2sqn marks flew twice.

Good to see a splash of colour.

Hopefully we will see the return of squadron colours one day so squadron heritage can be seen again

For the moaning ********s out there.

You seem to have forgotten The NATO badges were added to the Jets that went on Baltic Air Policing. 347 was a reserve jet and 357 has since been swopped

Maybe they should have painted them Red White and Blue for Policing operations?? Or the Shader jets in Bright Orange dayglo maybe

They are doing combat ops, not Aerobatics duties for F@@@ sake

There's an ad in most of the aviation mags, for aviation related t shirts, in which a stock picture of a guy in a t shirt is used, and they appear to photoshop the various designs on to the basic image. That's what this looks like!
