Stennis in Marseille April 2019

Post by tommc » Sat May 04, 2019 6:24 pm

A few pics of USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) when berthed in Marseille earlier this week. These were taken from various locations, mainly against the sun, from between 1 to 2 km away.

Nice pictures. Thanks for posting. The passengers on that cruise ship would have had great photo opportunities!

I had a guided tour of Stennis in San Diego in 1999, unfortunately the only plane on board was the A6 used for training aircraft handlers. But the prices in the PX were amazing!

Yes, the upper decks on that cruise ship looked down onto the Stennis deck. CVNs are fairly large vessels, but it was dwarfed by the size of the cruise ship next to it.
