Prestwick 8th April
Prestwick 8th April
Another trip over to Prestwick for Joint Warrior. Picked this day, as the wind direction meant approaches from the railway bridge end, which I really wanted to try. Spent a bit of time going back and forth between the bridge and the mound and lost a few photo ops. A couple of the Hawks look like they've been given a hard ride, judging by the worn paint on the leading edges. Some nice non exercise military visitors as well, along with some interesting civvies as well.

All very nice shots Danny. Good to see landing images from other end for a change.

Nice set. See what you mean about that 1st. Hawk. Need to have a word with the brother -in-law who maintains them (along with a few others).

The Minnesota ANG C130 came from Volkel AB in The Netherlands. Brought some security personal from Volkel to Zagreb (and back) to guard two F16’s from de 179FS who went there from Leeuwarden.
