RAF Marham 23rd Jan 19

Post by rockfordstone » Thu Jan 24, 2019 1:23 pm

i'm fairly new here, and this is my first photo post.

i like a lot of others went down to Marham yesterday to catch the unveiling of the camo tonka and its fly by with the other 2 special tail jets.

despite it being freezing it was an enjoyable day, with the powers that be at Marham doing their best to give everyone a bit of a show throughout the day.

i'm by no means a professional photographer and have only been doing aviation stuff for perhaps 18 months, but i managed to get some rewarding ones over the course of the day. here are some of them

thanks.

as i didn't have a ladder, i had to shoot through the fence so the yellow of the rail was casting over the image. decided to be creative

Good to see them aired for the massif who didn't get a ticket for the near 'exclusive event' today. Weather so nearly played-ball too by the look of it. In shots 2 & 4 the 'specials' appear to have some new retirement sensor fitted above the canopy ;) but I see they are gone in the air-to-air shots. Clearly able to be jettisoned in flight!
Great selection here. Whilst the specials are indeed special, your last shot is of a 'real' Tornado! :thumb:

ha. its going to bug me now... to photoshop!
and i agree. as nice as it was to see the specials, the fast passing standard livery was possibly the most pleasing
