Excellent set of images altho' must say I find the retirement scheme on ZG752 decidedly underwhelming and the Sqn. badges are titchy! Not a patch on what Leuchars did with the F3 retirement scheme back in 2011.

Superb set, perfect location for the light, Well done.

Just looking at these awesome photos, has reminded me how smart the Tornado GR.4 is/was in the days of the Camouflage scheme. Or was it more the GR.1 that wore the camouflage?

Still think its going to be strange not seeing an RAF Tornado of any sort flying or on static at an Airshow, lets hope we get some more GR's at more Museums.

Can't agree with that. I think they have got it just right. Celebrates the original colours while displaying the badges without over doing it..

Seeing the Tornado fully swept back tearing up the sky, brings back memories as a teenager and Gulf War 1. Watching Tornados, Jaguars and Buccaneers skimming across the desert.

I really like the Camo Tornado scheme , for me they have got it just right. When it first came into view the sense of anticipation was almost electric.

Looking forward to seeing some close ups from the photo shoot on Friday of the squadron badges.

Tonkatastic! A reward for a very long wait yesterday no doubt.

Great photos! Was a fantastic day, so glad I made the long trip! Loved seeing the Tornados, epic, but I got to say, the way those typhoons took off stole the show for me, absolutely amazing! Can only imagine that’s what the Lightning’s would have been like! They couldn’t have got airborne any quicker and as soon as they was, they went virtual like a rocket! Loved it!

to Unknown74 - in reply to your comment re GR.4 in Gn/Gy colour scheme - I have just taken a look at my earliest GR.4 shots taken in 1998 - IAT and they are in an overall darkish grey scheme

Couldn't disagree more. Everyone begged and pleaded for a full wrap camo. They were answered with a truly stunning scheme. Exactly how the tornado should be presented.

It's a shame you all did not get some missed approaches or some swept passes by the specials. The jet is still a bit sick apparently

A superb set of shots. The tops for me are the 2 of the 3 ship formations.
